3 Simple Tips On Meditation For Intuition

3 Simple Tips On Meditation For Intuition Post ImageWhat does intuition mean to you? Is it something you think about much or possibly use in your everyday life, or is it something that you’ve shelved for the moment because you’re not quite sure about it?

Developing a relationship with my intuition has been one of the most rewarding and exciting things I have ever done. I have created an amazing life of fun, adventure, wealth, and happiness, all based on following my inner guidance.

But it hasn’t always been that way.

For the first half of my life I really didn’t listen to it at all. In fact, I did everything I could to numb it such as drinking alcohol and keeping myself busy with work and other things that I hated. Like many people, I have always been emphatic and intuitive only I didn’t know what to do about it so I desensitized myself.

I was extremely sensitive to the energy of people and my environment which of course made me feel terribly uncomfortable most of the time. That was until I started meditating in my early twenties. Meditation taught me to step back from my thoughts and feelings while providing me the lesson of deepening my level trust in the unknown.

As I became more trusting of the impressions, sensations, and ‘knowings’ that I would get around people and places my intuition became stronger and more clear. I discovered that my intuition seemed to work in one of two ways.

First, there’s the sensation of a gut feeling that happens in my lower belly area. This is a tangible feeling that has nothing whatsoever to do with whats going on in my head.

The second way it manifests for me is in the form of a knowing about things. What I mean by this is that I can be sitting listening to you talking and all-the-while I’m receiving a non-stop broadcast of impressions about you. In other words, I’ll be intuiting things about you.

When I share these impressions with people it blows them away because they feel like I can see deep inside them. All I’m doing though is trusting what I am receiving and accepting it without trying to analyse or judge it. The mind can be very quick to jump in and try and dismiss it and that’s okay. Just notice the mind and any thoughts and then let it go

Intuition is connected to the feeling center of the body. The more deeply you feel, the more intuitive you can become. It’s like tuning in a radio station to the right frequency so you can hear the music. When you dial into the frequency of your intuition then there’s no turning it off and it’s loud and clear.

However, your intuition is not just connected to your feelings. It goes way beyond that. Some say that it’s your higher-self talking to you while others say that it’s coming from the Universe itself. Whatever the case, it certainly comes from a space that is beyond what your normal senses are attuned to.

Tuning Into Your Intuition

The great news is that your intuition can be easily developed. The first step is to identify how your intuition is talking to you. Is it a gut feeling? Is it a knowing? Is it a voice you hear? Is it a vision you see? Or, is it something completely different?

The second step is to acknowledge it as a something real for you. Once you identify how your intuition works, then all that’s needed is to strengthen your relationship with it by validating it every chance you get. The more you validate it, trust it, follow it and express it the more real it will become for you.

In essence, it’s all about trusting a part of you that may have been buried under a mound of judgment for many years. As you get more comfortable and confident with it then be ready for your entire life to change in the most magnificent of ways.

The third step is to meditate daily, even if it’s just for a few minutes a day. Meditation is a powerful way for you to sit quietly for a few moments and connect with your inner-being. This is where you get get real quiet so your intuition can reach out to you.

I find that after meditation I am exceptionally clear about things and it can even help to write down in your journal your thoughts and impressions from your mediation.

One things for sure when it comes to intuition, it always knows whats best for you – period! It has the answers to your questions on life, love, purpose, career, or anything at all that you think you’re not clear about. What’s great about this is that eventually you learn to follow your own path instead of relying on others to show you the way.

All that’s needed is to have a relationship with your intuitive self so that you can be open to receive the answers you seek. Nobody knows you better than your intuitive-self. This is the part of you that is connected to your Soul and knows exactly what is needed for you to grow, flow, and prosper in your life.
